faithy .. i actually didn’t want to even layer the cake, but there’s so much whipped cream, I thought I’d just succumbed to it.

I hope your renovations are completed quickly & successfully! I can hardly wait to be going through the same thing. It looks like you’re starting at basically the same place we will be — from bare walls. Our ceiling will be coming down too.

That looks like it will be an amazing kitchen! The light is superb – and the space, ah, the space. Envy with an capital E. Like Faithy, I can’t wait to see more photos.

Your cake looks fantastic. I would have been very nervous about slicing it into three as well.

Laughed at the sound of grating bricks – it does sound horrendous!

Wow, i cant wait to see your new kitchen!! When you new kitchen is up, please take photos of it..looks like such a HUGE space for kitchen! I’m envious! I can’t see your cake being lopsided..it looked alright to me. Looks great in fact! BTW i too cut the layers into 2 instead of 3. Didn’t want too much whipped cream.
